Huskymaniac

I find the FM reception to be mediocre at best. Also, I have noticed hiss on the FM radio audio when the music has high frequency content. Finally, when trying to use a high quality FM modulator to transmit a sound signal on one of the empty FM frequencies in our area, I have noticed that I have to really crank up the volume on my phone to get any volume from the RL's system. That last tidbit could just be a modulator issue. However, I also noticed that when I don't crank up the volume on the phone, there is no hiss and even if I crank up the volume on the RL head unit to get a reasonable sound volume.

It feels like an FM reception issue and the head unit is cranking up the gain on its RF section to compensate which is causing distortion.

Where is the FM antenna and/or the amplifier for the antenna?
