After 5 years Bluetooth won't pair help!
HI!
All of a sudden neither of my phone will pair with my 05 Acura. This is after 5 years of no problems. I have tried the pairing proceedure many times but It discoonects after asking me to name my phone. I have tried it with both my Wife's and my phone. I did a system reset and after that didn't work disconnected my battery for 4 hours. Nothing seems to work. Just to check the phone(s) I paired them with a Motrola T215 portable bluetooth and it works fine. Again, everything seems to be fine on the pairing until it asks me to name the phone and then it disconnects without pairing. When I try to dial it states no phone paired.
Thanks!

Perhaps the profiles for both phones have been corrupted in the HFL.
They may need to be deleted before you can re-add them to the HFL. See if they still exist. Try the HELP command. Then I think there is a LIST for PAIRED PHONES.
If the phone profiles are still in the HFL, follow the prompts to delete them.
Then re-pair and name them as new phones / profiles. That should work.
If not, it is possible you have an issue with the Bluetooth module and will need dealer diagnostics.

I think it must be the module. I, completely, reset the Acura phone link and wiped out everything. Also the maeesage comes back that there are no paired phone. After I did that clear and it didn't work I disconnected the battery for 4 hours. Also wiped out the profile on the phone itself and started over. Everything seems to be fine right up to when it asks to name the phone. It discoonects the second I hit the on hook button to reply.

Maybe a solution..
I had this same problem (my particular configuration - 2006 Acura TL with HTC Evo 4G smartphone). MY SOLUTION IS WRITTEN BELOW (although there is, of course, no guarantee that it will work for you). One night, I spent over an hour trying different combinations of things with my car and my phone. I gave up and went inside the house. The next morning, I was thinking about the fact that the system won't let you pair when the car is in motion. I was thinking that some sensor somewhere or GPS positioning may be causing the problem. I was also thinking about the fact that my driveway is inclined. So, I moved the car with the following FOUR KEY OBJECTIVES: (1) move the car off of the inclined driveway to someplace flat; (2) when I stop the car, do so somewhat firmly; (3) move the car into an open area/ without cover to block satellites; and (4) leave the car running. With those things accomplished, the pairing did in fact work. Hope this helps someone.
