AcuraLink - When does it connect?
Hey guys, i have my bluetooth phone (razor) all hooked up to my RL and it works fine. Since I just got my RL there were a few messages on the Nav, like AWD, Keyless access, etc. Went in and deleted them, and figured that if they were still a problem, the message would return on the Nav. Since then...no messages which I think is good. However, I am wondering how often does the Nav connect with the Razor to AcuraLink. Only when the car detects a problem. Just not sure how it works I guess. Any insight??? Thanks!

What I do not understand is the differnce between a data connection and any other type of connection. I remember seeing that some phones that are bluetooth cannot send data. Does this mean that when the check engine light goes on, that the information related to the problem will not be transmitted?
How does one check the system to see if it works. Can you ping the server somehow?

To check your phone/data connection, go to setup/phone-data connection...there are menu items here to test the connection or to configure if you can't get a connection with the defaults for your phone. Searching for past posts on the subject might be helpful to you...
