2006 RL Navigation

Am having problems programming the navigation on a 2006 RL. Unable to program address book and "Go home". Recently had body work done and battery was disconnected for a days.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Sounds like the battery was disconnected long enough to lose your personal settings, including your HOME address.

Select the SETUP button (lower right of the center stack) and follow the SETUP menus. See if your HOME address is listed.

Tampa RL,
I tried your suggestion and again tried the instructions in the manual. The home address isn't listed and the screen to type in the home address is not lit, nor is the address book.

GoHawks,
How do I "unlink" the remote?

The RLs NAVI ROM is flash memory. There is no hard drive. Disconnecting the battery may cause the ROM to be lost, but not necessarily. It is a precaution to utilize a backup power source when swapping batteries to prevent loss of the personal settings.

I remember when I traded my TL for the RL my sales rep specifically mentioned he would clear my TLs NAVI settings to factory default (even though I had already erased everything I could think of). An Acura tech can reinitialize the system if old / previous owner settings are still in tact. There is a selection in the NAVI diagnostics which essentually refreshes the flash memory.

If there are no previous memory settings, and the menu items are greyed out, it likley is what Hawks mentioned, and the remote is not linked to the car, and therefore the car is not displaying the personal settings for that fob.

Be sure the remote is linked 1st, then see what personal setings, if any are being displayed. HOME is the easiest to see "Go Home".
