2005 RL factory HU upgrade to 2007 RL HU
I have a 2005 RL and I need an AUX for my navtool that I want to install. Is it possible to upgrade to a 2007 factory hu that has the Disc/Aux button? If so, what else would I need to have the aux? what wire or plug that would get me a set of RCA's or 3.5mm? I found a HU on eBay for less than $100.

This is all based off of speculation, but I don't see any reason it wouldn't work. The 2010 head unit has a 6 pin harness connector on the back that is not present in the 2005 model. See here: https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-b...-radio-934546/
That is most likely an add on AUX connector with parts used from previous Honda models, a la 2006-2007 Civic. I think there are two reasonable approaches to connecting this harness to an AUX input.
1) Buy the RL console sub-wire and hope that it plugs into the back of the HU, SUB-WIRE, CONSOLE for 2007 Acura RL|32114-SJA-A02, and buy the jack assembly JACK ASSY., AUX IN. *NH167L* (GRAPHITE BLACK) for 2007 Acura RL|39112-SEL-003ZB.
2) See if the factory AUX accessory for the 2006-2007 Civic fits into the back of the head unit. https://www.collegehillshonda.com/in...an/auxjack.pdf
No one has used factory parts to get an AUX connection to my knowledge, but there is no real reason why it can't be done with the right parts.
If you do go through with the attempt, please document your findings here (good or bad).
