Wierd Noise from 40-45MPH at Low RPMs?
Hello RLovers. (see what i did there)
I have a 2008 Acura RL ( love this car). And I just noticed a low sounding "BRUMMMM, BRUMMM , BRUUMM" noise anytime i'm driving at low RPMs around 40-45 MPHs.
It SOUNDS like it coming from the center or front of the car, but not sure.
It just a noise, as far as I can tell, no performance issues, no transmission slippages or engine sputtering. If i speed up, the sound goes away. if I slow down, sound goes away.
The sound is concerning. I was thinking maybe its the Torque converter? but I'm not sure.
Any thoughts would be appreciated,
Chris

So I've been doing research on this topic about the growling noise between 25-40 MPH and theres a lot of discussions and anguish on the Acura MDX and TL about the faulty Torque converter.
I'm going to give Acura CC a call today and see what they can do, I hear in most cases where you complain enough they'll assist with the repair.
