Question Whistling Sound...

Hey guys,

I'm hearing sort of like a whistling sound coming from my front passenger side window when it's rolled down. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this? Please let me know so i can let my dealership know and get a fix for it.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

I get that too. Took mine back to the dealer when I first got mine (last summer). Dealer said there was nothing he could do.

I'd like to know if anyone has had this addressed also?

Yes it's w/ the window rolled down. And it's more so if it's cracked or rolled down not even half way. Again it's on the passengers side, front seat. I'm gonna tell them about it, b/c they have to tighten up my rearview mirror so i'll address it then. I'll give an update. I have an appointment for next Sat.

Have you thought about trying the door visors? $170 MSRP

No I don't have them but my toy doesn't whistle that I know of. I just crank up the Beach Boys and it drowns out any other noise.

Anyway just a thought, lame as it may be.

Actually me three, and I'd go so far as to say cheap but as I said it was a "lame" suggestion. I do have them on the Tahoe and it looks "okay" and they work well to help with wind noise and help move alot of air without the turbulence.

When I talked to my girlfriend (yes old men need love, too), she said that she does notice a whistling noise about 65 or 70 with the window up or partially down and disappears about 80 (maybe too much wind noise and it masks the whistling above 80). She thinks it comes from the mirror and was guessing because of the seam surface for the fold back connection. She also says she notices it more with a side wind. She said she noticed it more after we got rid of the OEM tires. Did I happen to mention that she "notices" things.

Sorry no real solution from me.

Ben

Check this link for the location of missing grommets for the tie down hooks that can cause an elusive wind noise. I was missing all 4.

Good deal... Thanks a lot man. I'm going to take it by there either Friday or Sat. and tell them about this. Hopefully it'll solve the problem.

Crap!!! Well hopefully they'll know what it is and fix the problem. It's really annoying. One thing i've come to realize... No matter how much you pay for a car, you're still gonna have problems huh???
