When it is very cold out, like this morning 19 degrees, the navi screen has a reddish tint. After the car/screen warms up it goes away.

Is this normal? I know with other lcd screens in many other vehicles I've seen weird anomalies when it is very cold but not a reddish tint???

I've seen it be very dim as things warm up, but I agree, I'd never noticed a reddish tinge to it.

Basically the whites are dim and reddish. As it warms up they return to normal. I assume this is fairly normal for a 2005 LCD screen.

Yep noticed this in my friend's 05. FWIW the screen in my 06 is also dim when cold but doesn't seem to have as much of a red tinge
