Wheel sources for RL?

Wheel sources for RL?
After driving around snowy Chicago yesterday I was glad I had those Pirelli Skorpions on my Volvo X-Country. Now that I'm about to trade it in on an RL I'm wondering where one gets wheels for the RL - the usual sources don't seem to have any yet. I'm not looking for blings - actually just the opposite. I'd want a set of 16" steel wheels to mount snows on (though 17" would be OK if I had to). Seems like aftermarket RL wheels just aren't being produced yet. Anybody know of any sources?

These companies just haven't gotten their hands on an RL to test for fitment. I'm sure it doesn't have an odd bolt pattern. Find out what the bolt pattern is (call dealership or ACS) and then you can find some steelies somewhere.
Example of what you're looking for:
The bolt pattern on my 96 Accord was 4 x 114.5 (4 lug wheels x 114.5mm)
I believe my TL is 5 x 114.

Bolt pattern for the RL is 5x120, which is a change from the other Acura cars (5x114.3). You will also need a high offset, and must watch out for the spokes clearing the large front calipers.
I've been looking for new rims for a while

Actaully the RL is not as unique as you might think. The 5x120 bolt pattern has been used by the European manufacturers for some time, namely BMW, and the caliper clearance issue also isn't new, upscale Brembo brakes have always had similar clearance issues.
I do agree that this limits the choices. Deep lip designed wheels seem to be the trend, and most will struggle to fit the RL because deep lips and large brake calipers don't seem to mate well.
The Tirerack promised me that they would get fitment information for the RL in about 2 months...let's see if they follow through.

Thanks for searching, but this thread is from 2005. However, that doesn't mean that the members here won't help you out. Just be prepared for opinions as they will be positive, negative, and neutral depending on how you feel about them.
Offset is a little low, something +45 to +55 is closer to the OEM setup, however there are a few members running a more aggressive (lower) offset on the 2nd Gen RL.
What kind of look are you going for? Flush, Hellaflush? That will also determine the responses you will get.
lol, I am sure Chas2 will chime in soon, but there is the issue of the RL's Caliper and fitting wheels too. I will let him chime in on the back spacing issue since his is better versed in this particular issue than I.
*Drum Roll* Here's Chas2.

Nice wheels, but this forum is for second gen 2005+ Acura RL's. You will have to go to the first gen site for a 2000 RL
Good luck!
