What do I do with my foglight?
I was going to do the DIY on replacing the foglight glass today and replace the glass with lexan glass. Both of my fogs are broken and the left one I can do fine because the inside of the housing is good, but this is what I found when I went to do the right one....what are my options? I tried to clean it but it looks like the reflective coating is bad. Do I have to purchase a new foglight assembly ($125) fuck fuck fuck or is their an aftermarket option that is cheaper/better. I am using the stock bumper btw.

At that point I would just replace it man.

I have a pair of broken fog lights, (driver side) with a rock chip about a size of a quarter, (passager side) a slight horizontal line that crack in the the middle. I end up replacing them with brand new ones, was hoping one of these days i would have time to replace with lexan glass and use as a back up. PM me if you want them.

Nice, I remember seeing your thread but I wasn't sure this would look good on the OEM bumper and I am guessing it would end up costing me more, I would be willing to do after market option that would cost me less

If you replace the oem fogs with more from Acura, just get on down to a shop that sells the clear bras and etc... buy some of the thick 3M clear and apply it to your lenses. It's a quick job and the 40 mil (? been a while) is bombproof.
I went through two fogs before wising up and now have a few years w/o incident --although there are pockmarks on the shielding. The lenses are intact, however, and you cannot see they're coated with the protective layer at all. I think I paid $12 for a sheet the size of notebook paper and that's way more than I needed.

Home Depot sells it and you will need a cutter to cut it to an acceptable shape. jhal did a write up and his cut wasn't anywhere near pretty, but it still worked fine because the bumper covers the edges. https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-2005-2012-76/g-009-diy-rl-fog-light-glass-replacement-769528/
