Well I bought a new car.

I forgot to say goodbye to this site, but I still have the Acura RL at home but my dad drives it now.

The car was having a lot of issues but they have all been fixed.

Changes to the car (Very Minor)

- KNN Intake
- Morimoto HIDs D2S Bulbs and Foglights H11s (6000K)
- Lowered 1.75 inches KYB Front struts, A Spec rear struts, A Spec Springs

If you're wondering why I mixed the suspension I tried to buy all A Spec but my order was declined I think from CurryAcuraParts they said that they sold out of the front A Spec struts or whatever so I bought KYBs for the front and A Spec struts for the back but everything had A Spec springs on them.

Lol I'm sorry about not having pics for the Acura I haven't had a chance to take pictures of them because I been busy.

I've had the RL since about 2008-09 when I was still in high school. I was enjoying the attention I was getting from other Acura and Honda drivers in my area, Whether it was an RSX or a TL.
The car was great to drive, it is VERY reliable. I had the car at around 170,000 miles before I gave it back to my dad when I bought my new car.

I love the AWD and how roomy the car and interior are. I'm a huge fan of the color black, and the black leather interior just made the car that much better. I also want to point out that even though our RLs are HEAVY the steering and driving feel really did not feel heavy at all. The car handled comfortably around corners and turns.

I could go on about what I loved about my RL but I'm sure you guys are here to see what new ride I got. I apolgize for my shitty camera. I have an HTC One and for some reason I guess the all have that kind of issues with the camera

I guess with me being young, I had to have something more engaging and FUN to drive and with that I now am a proud owner a 2014 Subaru BRZ!
I love everything about this car just the look of it and everything. I love how I smile with each perfect rev match I hit and each time I shift gears. The car is just amazing to drive.

I honestly would have gotten another Acura or Honda but honestly I don't think the luxury cars are for me and I also can't stand the look of the new Acuras with the exception of the NSX(I can't afford an NSX LOL). And Honda doesn't really have any new sports cars except the Civic Si.
I hate to say goodbye to you guys but before I leave this site I thought I'd answer some questions from you guys or hear what you guys have to say.

on the new ride. You don't have to leave the site. There are probably 10 or more BRZ/FR-S owners in Car Talk, and the majority there don't own Acuras.

Haha I'm glad you guys like it. The only issue I'm having so far is the "chirping" or "cricket" sounds from the engine. Apparently it's been a problem for people but for me I don't really find it a problem, it doesn't really bother me.

Also if you buy an FRS or BRZ change out the stock transmission and differential fluid, the gear shifting was good and all but 1st 2nd and 3rd gear was not very smooth. I read about it and I noticed that people said that when you change it, you'll notice that when you take the cap off of the diff, you'll see a lot of metal shavings.
Well I changed it to Motul Gear 300 75W90 and I saw the metal shavings lol I'm glad I took care of that. And the gear shifting is SO MUCH better.

As far as any concerns go for this car, is the reliability. I don't know how long the Subaru boxer engine will last compared to your typical Honda engine. My first car was a 1998 Honda Accord and I had that car to 353,000 miles on it before I handed it down to my younger cousin and well, he didn't change the oil or something and BAM the engine was done.

welcome to the Subaru club. I still have my CL-S and got a legacy about 7 months ago. I hope you enjoy your ride.

As for reliability, The newer Subaru cars do not have the issues with the head gaskets like the older ones do. The engines do seem to be susceptible to piston slap though... my 2003 had it until I put it under the knife so to say and since it was repaired, all has been well.

The flat 4 boxer has a common issue with one of the cylinders, but it probably won't show itself anytime soon unless you boost. Somewhere around page 100 of civicdriver's FR-S thread in Car Talk, you can read about his experience with it.
