Trip from Hartford, CT to Tampa, FL

So I moved from Hartford, CT to Tampa, FL and I drove my 05 RL ,with 160k miles on it, the whole way. Packed her up completely, I mean the entire trunk and car with all my clothes, gaming systems, surround sound system, all my movies and dvd stand, 2 flat screen tv's an all in one printer, laptop, shoes, my sons stuff, etc... Trip took 1 day in total with about 5 hours of sleep total. I stopped for gas 2 times and I honestly got 27.6 miles to the gallon doing on average about 85 miles an hour. That is the best gas miles I ever got in this thing. I am usually at about 14-17 miles avg when I was in CT with mainly city driving but on the highway she did great. Got pulled over once for my tints in VA but was let off with a warning. I have to honestly say the car surprised me. I have had her for 5 years going on 6 in October. I bought her certified with only 33k on it and she has held up like a champ. I have had a few minor problems here and there but other than that she has been great. I honestly was expecting something to happen on my trip and she really pulled through flawlessly. When I am ready to buy another car I plan on keeping her. I will be completely dissatisfied if whatever I buy in the future doesn't hold up as well as she has especially because I would like to either buy a BMW or a Mercedes as my next car.

If you want similar drivetrain reliability, get the Benz. on a smooth move.
What are tints?

bmw or merc

My 05 RL has 220,000miles on her and I never had any major problems from 20miles. kept up with maint. with an good acura service. I would never buy any or your next cars. they will keep you in the shop and after warranty big$$$$ for repairs. those cars are for image and high maint. cars. I have own many cars the ACURA RL is the best.. you will regret it when you get one of the above cars you spoke about... THEY are for looks the Acura is for keeps!!

Yes, I also have a dramatic increase in mileage on our Toronto-Naples journeys. I barely get 450km/tank around the city, but have seen close to 800km on long highway trips. The RL is hands-down the best long distance tourer I've every been in (never been in a MB though). And I have 197k km on my '05.

Lol its not so bad, I am learning my way around meeting new people and trying to find things to do. Only thing I have to get used to is that apparently it gets up to about 95 degrees then rains and thunders for about an hour every single day... There are far less Acura RL's down here than up in CT so that is a bit refreshing not seeing my car on every corner. I missed those days.

Just try to avoid the people throwing babies to escape arrest, pouring gasoline on kids lighting fireworks, and eating puppies. If you can do that, you should be okay.
