Towing AWD

Hey i am new her, i recently got a 08 Acura RL, i got a quick question the car was towed to me on a dolly close to 900 miles, without removing the drive shaft, since the car is SH-AWD do you guys think there was any harm done to the transmission, due to some damage on the car/ and me being in different state i am not able to drive it an find out.

I believe if they put it in neutral it wont hurt the tranny, but I would use the search button to find out more.

...assuming the parking brake was off.

If my recollection is right, the procedure for towing is described in the Manual (thick book).

You are correct. It is under. Sort of hard to find at first since Towing deals with using the RL to tow a trailer. The being towed part is under:

Emergency Towing, If Your Vehicle Gets Stuck

The only way you can safely tow
your vehicle is with flat-bed
equipment. The operator will load
your vehicle on the back of a truck.
Any other method of towing will
damage the drive system. When you
contact the towing agency, inform
them a flat-bed is required.

NOTICE:Towing with only two tires on the
ground will damage parts of the
all-wheel-drive system. Your vehicle
should be transported on a f lat-bed
truck or trailer
