Things to look for in a pre-owned RL
Hey Aziners,
We've all seen at least half a dozen of these threads in the past month or so; so my thought is that we can put some good condensed information together for prospective owners and refer them to this thread when new people join Azine. I know this info is available in the Garage section, but the information is sometimes hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for and may be an information overload. Try to maintain the same format (more or less) for continuity.
I will start and you all can add any relevant info.

Outer door handle trim....as odd as it sounds, thanks to the design of this, replacing a broken one will cost you $200/each door. ?They break out of the blue. I've replaced 3 of them. The dealer has a special tool and it takes 1 hour labor to replace this piece of inferior plastic.
Planned obsolence, perhaps.

I think the question is what do I watch out for when shopping for a Legend. Miles driven and what kind a warranty is one thing. If it is a pre-certified vehicle then before 50,000 miles you can pay to have Acura Care extend the factory warranty at a very reasonable price. Next would be prior accident damage. Lots of little things can go wrong over 60,000 miles so do get one with at least a 12,000 mile warranty on everything so you can get it back in shape if it has been neglected.
