Wow! This is why things will never change from an image perspective. Solid product does not equal solid perception/expectations.

Not wanting to stir anything up or repeat something that's been said before. Just pointing the facts (in other's peoples minds) out...

Have a great day

I think this was posted earlier this year, and it is very sad indeed. I don't know how scientific this survey is however from personal experience I do think the results are somewhat accurate.

This demonstrates a complete and utter failure -or lack of- in the marketing and PR department considering that most Hondas and Acuras come out from the same factories, built by the same people and have the same if not better quality/materials.

Odd how people perceive things, but I guess it all comes down to marketing, which Acura for some reason, shies away from.. Toyota is perceived as environmental I guess because of hybrids, but look at all the big trucks, SUVs, V8s etc they sell compared to Honda. I'm biased but I see Honda as more reliable. Toyota has been very good at limiting PR damage from all their increased recalls they last year or 2, due partly to their massive expansion and numerous models.

They called 1600 people (probably while they were sitting down for dinner) and consider that as a good barometer for overall appeal??

I never owned an Acura, or Honda for that matter, before buying the RL, and I always thought Acura was a classy brand of vehicle.

That's just another insignificant survey to fill dead space IMO.

If I went around my office right now and asked people if they knew what an Acura was, I bet maybe 5% out of 200 might know, and they would be the Honda or other Acura owners in the building.

There is one other RL at my workplace, a White 06, and the lady's husband bought it for her because he thought she would look good in it.

kirbyflorida.... i was just about to say the same thing. I'm glad that I don't see RL's every second car when I'm driving around. I get sick of all the 5-series I see. Everyone and their moms have one.
