Steering wheel question

I've seen some pictures of the wooden Acura accessory steering wheel and I noticed that this unit has grooves for the thumbs - much like my S2000 and other 'performance' oriented wheels.

Does Acura offer a full leather unit shaped like the wooden one?

Does the ASpec RL's come with a different wheel?

Thanks!

I too notcied it has the nice shape and also wished it was in a leather only style but I dont think Acura themselves offer that. Too abd as I dont care much for wood steering wheels. They are weird.

Unfortunately the aspec does not include a different wheel like the TL's a-spec package does.

Nope, wood only (if they had a leather wrapped wheel, i'd have been there!).

Nope.

Check out my photographs under "pictures from gbriank". You can see pictures of the wheel. I have become used to the "wood" on the wheel...it isn't bad.... It is a vast improvement over the standard wheel and very much emulates the M steering wheel in the 530iA.

Different Strokes

Not all of us prefer the "wood" wheel (quotation marks added since the "wood" isn't real wood). As with exterior color, interior color, and so on, it's always good to see that everyone has different tastes. Some prefer (even swear by) the optional wheel. My preference, especially since the wood isn't real (while the shifter option is), was to go only with the wood shifter. To each his/her own and we're all the better for it.

I know that some Honda steering wheels were/are interchangeable from model to model, I wonder if the A-Spec TL wheel would work on the RL.

I can't quite remember - where does the TL have it's voice/back button? I know the HFL is in a similar location as the RL.

I don't think we can interchange with the TL wheel. Here is a pic of my TL a-spec wheel (prior to the car being totaled of course)
