Steering wheel color Q
ok i got this wheel on ebay and i dont exactly know what color it is and i was hoping the wood sport wheel is a lot lighter in color. is this wheel i have just from a weird old model or vp package rl or maybe discolored from the sun? or do some rl's come in this interior color. it looks like more of a brown to me than a beige? any help would be appreciated.

The first one is parchment. The other options would be taupe or ebony. You are also correct in that your wheel is the factory replacement and Heavy's appears to be a poor knock off.

ok well i guess what my question is then is, ok so i know rl's in the tan interior as far as i can tell from pictures is like split into 2 browns one being the darker brown that comes from the top of the door panel around to the steering wheel and then the lighter one on the bottom of the door panel and on the seats. i guess im wondering does the sport steering wheel in beige match the darker brown on top? or the lighter brown beige that the seats are? see i have a honda accord and im wanting to get the tan one to match my interior but now wondering if it actually will, or if i should go with the black wheel

i bought the wrong colored wheel for my taupe interior RL back in August. It turns out that the wheel i bought was parchment. it was a take off from another member who bought the wood-accented wheel, as in it has VERY little use. from the looks of yours that you scored on eBay, that one looks to have been used quite a bit. the oils from your skin and sun exposure will definitely discolor the wheel over the years.

I would use this picture as reference for your decision.

thank you guys for the input. still cant really say for sure if the wood accessory wheel matches the top or bottom color more, was hoping for some input with someone who has the tan wood wheel currently installed since google pics are all so different.

The arm rest bubbles are an all too common occurrnce on RLs. Both arm rests and center console are susceptible. Even my wife's CR-V arm rest has them. The fabric supposedly has a substrate that is adhered to the foam. The fabric and substrate actually separate leaving bubbles between them while the substrate is still adhered to the foam.

That's pretty awful. I thought someone said the center console was vinyl and the door armrest is leather. It doesn't seem like leather should be doing that. I guess since the OEM replacement is about $60, there's probably no way it's real leather.

Heavy was the one who said it was leather, and I'm not sure why. I know he had some bubbles reupholstered with leather, so maybe he was confusing the two.
Reupholstering is the way to go with this fix. Luckily my car has not been affected.

The door armrests are leather.
The center console split armrest is vinyl.
The door armrest is cost effective to replace around $55-65 via OEM parts vendors.
The center console is not as you must purchase the entire upper assembly at $350+.
The bubbles on Heavy's armrest is likely from rubbing too aggressively when cleaning the leather as it is widespread beyond the elbow wear points. It seperates the leather from the foam. The center console bubbling is caused by the vinyl 'skin' de-laminating from the fabric substrate glued to the foam padding.
At least that is what I hope caused it. I shudder to speculate otherwise.
