Something is clunking....
So, I'm hearing a clunk - a vaguely rattly sound that seems to be coming from under the car. It's either underhood or in the wheel wells.
It only manifests itself at slower speeds when I am making turns, and/or going over parking-lot speed bumps. It was especially obvious today as I went over speed bump after speed bump in the parking lot.
I searched on clunks, and found something about brake shoes and the steering column bushing or the parking brake cable (that'd be an easy fix for the next service). It almost sounds like a CV joint, except for clunking over the speed bumps.
Any thoughts to help diagnose this one?

I'm betting its exactly what was clunking with mine. Good luck. https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-tires-wheels-suspension-92/d-012-rear-right-suspension-noise%3B-e-brake-cable-tightening-772060/

One thing I've noticed is that the sound seems to be more prevalent when the car has been driven a while -- i.e., warm. I'd say the general location is front driver's side quadrant from behind the steering wheel to somewhere underhood or in the wheelwell. Real hard to pinpoint.

It could be this steering column bushing issue, but this is the only case I recall that needed this repair.

I *do* have a funky smell from the car -- but it's the AC! And OT.
No noises come from the trunk. The only things back there are a car cover, jumper cables, and a kit bag velcro-ed to the back of the rear seat.
I'll probably be setting up the tech with my concerns in advance of my next service appt, referencing the brake shoes for sure. I'd also want them to check the CV boots (had a similar sound from my '88 Legend), and the steering coupling/bushing.

I pointed to the brake rattling TSB, but they said it didn't apply to the 2006 (I'm not really sure about that interpretation, though). A road test didn't turn up anything in the morning, but I'm slowly characterizing it so I can bring it by for them to diagnose.
I only seems to happen after the car is warmed -- either driving a lot or sitting in the sun for a few hours. It doesn't clunk in the morning.
I've tried to press the parking brake to see if that makes a difference, but it doesn't seem to.
