Um, guys, the Inspire IS the USDM Accord, with plans to be shipped to Japan. So was the previous gen Inspire. The one before that was our USDM 2G TL. So Tampa is right.

So no, the Inspire is in no way, shape, or form, the next RL unless they plan on basing the design on the USDM Accord just released.

Personally I'd be happy with minimal body changes...the current RL looks great...

However, I'd modify it as follows:

1. RWD as base, w. AWD as option
2. Don't make the car bigger, make it lighter
3. Drop the 3.7L motor in tuned up to 310-320 HP, and by 2010 offer it with Advanced VTEC, squeezing another 5-10 HP from it.
and/or...
4. Offer the 3.5L with the RDX's turbocharger for ~ 330+ HP
5. Offer a 6-speed AT

Perhaps mixing the aforementioned features as two RL packages, a 'base' model, and a performance tuned model. Lower the price of the base model.

This includes sheet metal changes, extra interior inches, etc. I did hear confirmation that they are also working on a production v8 (don't think that's a surprise) but it was the first time I heard it mentioned in the same breath with the RL from a real source.

As I've said before, I like the RL just like it is, but we all seem to be an exception. These confirmed changes are definitely needed. Could get exciting in the next few months as more reveals itself

So tell me SpicyMikey, what about "Cool Seats", when???? I'll trade my Shoreline/Ebony if I can get some new cool seats. I'm moving to Florida soon.

I haven't heard of any interior feature rumors. I don't think you'll hear about those things until a few months before dealers start placing orders. The info trickling in about redesigns, and larger size are about as much as the dealer network has been told. I think those rumors are pretty reliable at this point.

The manufacturer knows dealers talk to their good customers. They won't give dealers more then they are willing to have exposed.

I'm with you on the cooled seats though. That would be nice.
