Service B due soon
Hi there,
I'm new in this forum. Purchased an '05 RL in Dec, now is due for its 1st B service. I live in San Jose, CA.
Questions:
1. Can I take it to an independent mechanic? any recommendation?
2. Which Acura dealer is good?

I can only tell you that you can indeed take it to an independent mechanic. There are plenty of other members from your area who may be able to chime in as to a good shop.

1) Yes. Art's Automotive in Berkeley or Precision Auto Repair in Pleasanton are both good choices. My father used to use Precision Auto Repair in Pleasanton when he commuted and they were excellent. I've never used Art's Auto, but I've spoken with one of their techs and they seem quite knowledgeable. They appear to be a top-notch shop for Honda/Acuras in the bay area.
2) I do not know. I heard Serramonte is pretty good and they've been friendly in aiding AcuraZine meets.
