Screw driver dropped into air intake - HELP
Hi Guys,
I was out replacing a battery in my 2010 Acura RL this afternoon, and my son dropped a screw driver down what looks an air intake tube that runs down in front of the battery and appears to twist and turn down into a lower part of the car.
I shined a light and was not able to see the screw driver anywhere, at least down as far as the first bend, and it was not sitting underneath the car.
Does anyone know where the end of this tube goes? Is this easy to recover myself, or should I tow / drive the vehicle to the dealership to get this removed. I'm very worried about this and don't want to damage anything or get stranded on the side of the road.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
-Shawn

it would have just dropped into the resonator, no problem. you should be okay driving it.

If you are certain where it dropped, then ur safe. To remove it, there's a tool at home depot near the toilet bowl snakes.. it's a long string, you insert, then push on the top, and at the end three clips show their faces. They can grab stuff.
If it's too far down, then you either unscrew that pipe and remove it, or, buy a camera wire with tools. You can stick a magnet on those, or plier shaped noze, etc.. and run the wire and see what's insude (its infrared).
