RL wiper stuff...
While driving in the rain today I noticed that the driver's side windshield wiper looked a lot longer than normal. I didn't look too closely when I got out of the car, but I plan on doing so tonight. I wonder how much replacement blades will be. The blades on my W8 used to go for $90, so I ended up doing some blade insert mods which worked better than the OEM blades and only cost $5
Also, I was flipping through the RL owner's manual and noticed the "Wiper Arm Positions" section on page 103. It looks like the RL wipers have a winter position and a summer position. I haven't seen this before on my other cars. Is this feature unique to Acura or even just to the RL? I found this part interesting:
A heavy build-up of snow or ice on the wiper arms will cause them to automatically park in the winter position.

My 94Legend used to have this special setup, too. To prevent the wiper-motor from burning itself, the snow usually accumulates on the bottom of the windshield, this feature is helpful. I could hold the arm of one of wipers and slightly lift it up, then the arm will stay in the higher "park" position. (wipers will work well)

I know this question isn't directly related to this post, but does the RL's passenger side wiper have eccentric movement? (i.e. does it move by means of two pivot points instead of one?)

Thanks for the replies guys. We'll see how well the winter mode works over the next couple of months...
I haven't noticed this. If I do, I'll let you know.
