Buy new.
To make that 2006 demo attractive, they would need to drop another 6-7K at least. The 2007 has the backup camera standard, so unless you really love OnStar...buy new.

If they can't do a LOT better on the demo, I'd buy new.
My dealer tried this stuff on me, too, when I bought. They were trying to sell a "manager's demo" special without tech (2006 non-tech is the same as 2007 with tech except lacking camera) for $46k, and I opted for new.

I agree with everyone else. That demo price is terrible. You shouldn't even consider that price. However, everything is negotiable. Offer them a rediculous price and go from there. I bought two demos in my past that way and worked out quite well. I'd suggest starting at 33k and go from there.
Things to keep in mind. They call it a "demo" but do a carfax on it to be sure exactly what you're buying. It's got 6000 miles. That's a LOT even for a demo. It may have been a quick rebound off a lease OR just as bad, it may have already been titled by the dealer and been used as the owners everyday car (for example). If it is truly a "demo" (i.e. a car that was registered with Acura as a demo and used on the lot for the entire time for demonstration purposes with buyers) then there should be no title history.
Also, keep in mind when a dealer registers a car as a "demo" they defer paying Acura for that car until it sells. Acura finances the vehicle. This dealer has not paid one penny in finance charges for this car yet.
Bottom Line: You got a LOT of negotiating room here. He wants to get this thing off the lot before the '08s come out otherwise he's gonna need to just sell this wholesale at a dealer auction.
Post the VIN here and I can do a free carfax report for you and let you know the deal

Don't buy a demo, they are NEVER broken in right, driven hard from day one.
When I test drive I do not care about break in, I drive all test cars hard, sorry.
Get new in this case.

At my dealership, the owner usually drive an RL, or MDX for a while. It's considered a demo, but it was usually his car. In that situation, I wouldn't have any issues buying his car.
