possible RonJon splitter kit??

if any of you guys haven't seen it yet, Ron has been working on some pretty cool splitter-kit concepts for the TL's and TSX's. i think it would be a nice option for some of us with RL's as well. the prices are right and i know i would definitely be down to buy one!

if the demand is there, i am sure he would be willing to produce it. so post a reply if you're interested!!

Not really a big fan. I appreciate RonJon's products and their suited fitment for Hondas and Acuras. However, I don't feel like a lip splitter of this design would visually blend or match the 2nd Gen RL lines.

Maybe the 3rd Gen though.

Sarona, Erbuni, Wings West, Extreme Dimensions...

And although I feel liek the TSX and RL are two completely different cars, style makes rice, not a whole category of parts. Our style is not over the top or cheesy. This splitter kit is just a bolt on from underneath to provide an economy friendly part that lowers the ground clearance of Acura vehicles:

i think it is indeed a very subtle way of achieving the look of a lower vehicle. even more so than a lip kit. in no way is this rice to me

I don't believe that any of the lip designs are terrible or bad for the vehicles that they have been catered to.

IF there was one designed for the RL and there was a model representation I actually might consider it, given that the price and design appeal to me.

rice would be a fake type R or a fake mugen lip kit for 40 bucks that people put on their honda's. i would love to see another affordable kit for the RL. and that photoshops looks pretty good. lol

It's funny we are getting this kind of stereotypical behavior so close to Martin Luther King Jr day, some guys are to car prejudice, lol. I believe the simple design of the splitter can be made so cleanly and fit so well, it would only enhance whats already there. After all, alot of passenger cars and exotics come with the splitters already on them as parts that lower the ride height and allow the driver to scrape a little here and there without sacrificing the whole bumper.

thanks for the Photoshop but the part you chopped is already scraped up to hell...meaning I would kill that virtual splitter.

For a car that's not lowered, definitely an improvement.

I like it, but what does it do for the car other than looks? Is it functional? What is the projected cost? My RL is so low already that going out of gas stations and streets with dips for drainage just tears up the front end now. I keep waiting for the day a dip dumps the front bumper in the street.

I think I would totally go for a splitter kit to substitute for a full body kit because I would love to keep my splash guards, but that's impossible to do with a full body kit. I think a tastefully done splitter kit would be a nice subtle way to differentiate the RL from other RLs, and (hopefully) also have room for the splash guards.
