PalmOne, Sprint Update Treo 650 With DUN Profile And More

Sprint has made a new update to the Treo 650 smartphone available. The update enables the Dial Up Networking (DUN) Bluetooth profile, allowing 650 owners to connect their laptops to Sprint's data network using the Treo and Bluetooth. The update also adds support for more factory installed Bluetooth carkits, including Acura, BMW, and the Toyota Prius. A number of non-Bluetooth related improvements as well as an update to the VersaMail application are included in the update as well.

 

Already got and applied update to my 650 and it works great. I now get Antena strength on my MID.

 

I hope Cingular updates their Treo 650 soon...seems like Sprint has had a couple updates and still very little from Cingular

 

Anyone try the latest unlocked GSM updater? I am about to take the plunge, but I was hoping someone else had already done it. I am hoping that the updater solves a few of the BT issues I still have (no antenna strength or other status on the Acura, can't "phone home to the Acura server).

 

GSM updater does nothing. Response from the non-English speaking retards at palmOne has been useless on when unlocked and/or Cingular GSM customers can expect something.
