Need everyone's input on this...
I bought my RL in May...
Negotiated $1,746 for a 7yr/100K mile extended warranty. The cost of the warranty was rolled into my financing. This was on a Friday afternoon.
Next day I tell them that I found out I could purchase the warranty for $1,100 on the internet (Ray Laks) and I want a refund.
They tell me that they'll match it. They assurred me that they could work it out with Honda Finance. No problem, all I needed to do was fill out the paperwork. I would then see the difference credited to my account (~$600).
A couple of months later I get a call from the finance manager telling me they made a mistake. They credited me the entire amount ($1,746) and now they can't charge the other amount to my loan. I need to come in an pay them $1,100.
Quite honestly, if I had or wanted to add another $1,100 to the downpayment, I would have. That's why I financed it. I told them they made the mistake, and now they need to fix it.
I hear nothing for two months, today I get a call from the general manager telling me the same thing. Again, I tell them I do not care to cough up $1,100 or put that amount on a credit card. Apparantly the finance guy no longer works there, and I spoke to Honda Finance and they said my contract can't be altered.
What are my options? I'm not looking to pull one over on them. They made the mistake.

I would suggest you offer to pay the amount pro-rated to the term of the loan interest free since the error was theirs.
If the loan was for 4 years then repay at the rate of 1100/4 or 275/year or $23/month.
