so i noticed for about a month or so when i cold start the car i hear a loud chatter from the timing belt area
it sounds like its coming from the AC compressor area when standing next to the car
when i pop the hood and listen i cant pinpoint the noise. its coming from that general area

its like a loud crackling . chatter not affected by ac on or off


also when got the car before i checked valve clearance there was no noise at high rpm and high load

after adjusting VC on both heads the valve noise came about. sounds like loud valves or detonation. cant tell since i have no reference point for how a detonation sounds on a v6

the clearance was off on front head both intake and exhaust
clearance was also off on exhaust rear head. seems like the dealer adjusted the clearance to be same on intake and exhaust which is a bit suspect since this is the 3rd car maintained by the dealer with wrong clearance

anyway. i feel like the valve chatter is too loud or its detonation but i cant tell.( there are no codes or acceleration issues otherwise)
i have a short ram with staggered tube and v stack. no other mods
