On earlier version RL, in the event the power motor would die on the moon roof, there was a small crank handle used to close the moon roof after removing a small plug in the headliner to access the crank gear.
What to do in as emergency with the new RL ??????

I'm pretty sure you have it. Look were the car jack is located in the trunk, the key should be there. I think you have to removed something to get to the manual key insert is not in plain view. this is how it is on my TL, I'm sure it is on all acura's maybe try reading the manual.

There is not on the new RL.. I had it on my 2000 RL and have it on my wifes 2002 TL/S.
I have read the manual and have looked in the tool kit.

I think you and bitium are talking about two different things. I believe bitium si talking about the actual ignition to the car - and he is right, you have to pull off the cover to that incase the battery in your key dies.
As far as the sunroof motor dying, I have not heard of this before and I did not see it in my three Acuras - 04'TSX, 05' TL and the current 05' RL.

Maybe they have evidence that if the sunroof is open, the car will never ever lose power, deeming this feature obsolete.
Seriously, maybe they have no evidence that anyone ever used the manual sunroof close feature. I have though in my cl-s. I had the sunroof on tilt, but still had power but the switch refused to close it. I had to use the manual crank. But then it decided to work again for no reason.
