Looks like my RL is sold

I sold the RL couple months back, and I'm not contemplating adding another Hyundai (not a Genesis anyway), I was considering upgrading...but the chances of that are close to 0, it just hurts seeing a V8 at the same price I paid for a V6.
I am considering a 2013 Genesis Coupe for my wife, it will get the 8 speed and a nice powerboost from 210 to 274hp.
Then again...probably not until the need for 2 cars arises. She's fairly happy driving my car
I am looking forward to seeing that extra special S4 of yours though, don't keep us waiting too long.

Ok, I said I would post a picture in here and I will stand true to my promise. I am posting this pic, but there are more in the Audi thread over in car talk.

It is a great machine and I am sure I am going to love it even more, once I get a chance to really drive it. I am not going to do the comparison, the RL and S4 are both amazing cars in their own right. It wouldn't be fair to compare a car made in 2006 to a car made in 2012. If I would have bought an Audi that was made in 06 to maybe 09, then yeah I get it. The RL was and always will be one of my favorite cars I ever owned, I only hope the S4 can live up to it.

I've always loved Audis. Just great designs, perfection for my taste. The only thing that is preventing me from owning one is reliability. Please let us know how your ownership goes, I would definitely want to own/lease one once I hear some real world feedback.

The first 100 miles have been nothing but flawless But seriously, over the last few months I have discovered that Audi's have very few issues, as long as they are under warranty. Most of their issues occur after the warranty runs out. I will definitely be around and will share if anything changes.

I was on the highway today and was remembering you when an S5 seemed a little frisky. After playing around for a bit I was dissappointed as even though I had 2 people in the car and the S5 just one, my car was pulling stronger at highway speeds.
After going home and reviewing the specs, I hope there was something wrong with the other car.
Otherwise...immensely enjoying my Genny and I hope your Audi is faster than the S5...otherwise it's a sad sad day for Audi when a 3.8 Genny can outrun a 4.2 coupe.
Congrats on finally getting the car btw!

Have you listened to any of his videos? Everyone in the car thinks The Fast and The Furious is being shot as they drive down the road.

You can't be serious, can you ? I mean come on, you think EVERYONE is racing you ? I am glad you love your car, but lets be honest, most of us don't even take notice to most cars on the road, especially a Hyundai.Once again, glad you love your car, but most of us would disagree with you, that's why everyone can have their own opinion. Mine for one is, a Hyundai is just that, an ok looking car for most, but the quality is not my thing.
I got people staring at my car daily, for one reason or another. Be it the passing car, or a passing person. I don't know why they stare but they do.
I don't know where you got the idea where most people are with you...because I think they aren't.
and when you say "quality is not your thing" I already know, you chose an Audi...pun intended

Now the reason for my post was mostly due to my surprise, that is all. I'm not here to trash Audi's as I happen to like them. Your blind bias towards Hyundais, it's really not supported by numbers. Hyundai/Kia got 9% of the market right now and growing rapidly, and not just on cheap cars. I believe they are selling close to 30k Genny's a year now and not to Chrysler owners.

I mean I kind of disagree with Plastik. The Genesis is a great looking car. I think you may be cutting the genesis short a little.
But then again 037 you cant compare the S4 to the hyundai.

Been away for a few months, but I'm not surprised at all to see that 037 still can't give up trying to convert everyone here to Hyundais.

The current deal for a Genny is bout $1500 under invoice before $1500 competitive/current owner discount, so that's 3k under invoice. Beats the deal I got when I bought mine.
They just came out with a 5.0 429hp on stock 18" wheels and regular suspension. Can be yours, fully loaded around 40-41k.
I am a member of the site above, but they aren't quite as active as the people here

It is just as annoying to here your incessant sales pitches as it is to hear about your one sided races.
This is the RL forum. You owned one, so talk about THE RL. When you want to talk about "Genny" go to Car Talk. See what they have to say.

Which is why I am providing my impressions after driving the RL for 2.5 years.
Now if it bothers you that I am trying to get people discounts, well, tough sh!t. You can ignore this and go pay the full price.

I'd love to have the same car with a 5.0 V8 and SH-AWD but it isn't an option yet.

It went to Texas... There is no winter here. It's 65 right now. I have worn shorts and flip flops numerous times the past week. Some areas hit 89 last week. It is just a less hot summer here.

Cruising in ATL!!
haha... I love how 037 thinks everyone is out there racing him. Glad you enjoy your new ride but you need to stop and let OP talk about HIS ride. No one cares how 'awesome' yours is...

037, you can come here to make general comments about the RL. You don't have to give us status updates on your actual RL. This is Acurazine, not Facebook. Use your experience with the RL to help other members. Please no more about the Genesis!!

No you are right, the Genisis is a nice looking car, I don't disagree. The stigma of being a Hyndai is unfair to the car and I think in the next ten years that will fade away, just like it has for other cars in the past.

So if I could say one thing I have come to miss about my RL, then it would be the large plush interior. Not a major thing, but something that was on my mind the other day. There was always something about sitting in traffic in the RL and being comfortable. Now I am not saying that I don't like the interior of my new car, cause I do, its just different.

+2 on the plush interior. I miss it as well at times. The RL is a finely screwed together car, a piece of art. It's too bad Acura didn't know how to market that craftsmanship. Sigh. Maybe they'll get it right with the 3G RL.

I really don't mind the lack of marketing for the RL actually; I kind of like the exclusivity we get without having to spend six figures.. There is decreased awareness of the RL, which leads to lower demand, which leads to a niche car with deeper discounts below invoice
