Porsches were not made to made to have four doors, unless it is a SUV. Yeah the Panamera is fast and handles real nice, but every time I look at it, I feel like something is a miss. Of course that is just my opinion and everyone is entitled to there's, that just happens to be mine.

So my sale is almost done, just gotta cross some T's and dot some I's and it is a done deal. It will be weird not having my RL in the garage, it will take some time to get used to. I took very good care of her while I had her for five years. Always garaged, oil changes and service never missed, tires rotated every 5000 miles and I always parked a mile away, just to avoid any kind of door dings ( btw my wife didn't always appreciate that ). And even though I know the car is going to a great home and will be very well taken care of, it will take some time to get used to.

Seriously, congrats, 037. Make sure you post pics on Car Talk when you get your R-Spec. You will not be the first on the board, though....one of the other moderators is planning to purchase an R-Spec as well.

Acura keeps Emailing me about the 2011 ZDX Tech and are offering it to me at invoice. I am not sure how I feel about that, I love the interior of the ZDX and the exterior has its highlights, but I am thinking I want to wait just a little while longer.

I sat in a fully loaded 3.8 today and my wife approves. The Hyundai guy cringed when I told him my car has 52k on it. And I was about to tell em it's not a .... but then I paused since Hyundai and KIA got their sh!t together and the only ppl that didn't are the German brands

037 - so is your car sold? your car is nice..you ought to keep it a while longer... screw buying new... you save a lot of mony driving that thing a few more years.. your RL looks great..
if you are going to buy a new car - why not pass on the Genesis and get something bad a$$...
for what you would pay for a new Genesis.. you could buy a 2-3 year old CPO car that kicks a$$! you could easily get into a CPO 550i... you are geting close to CPO M3 M5 money...
i know the new hyundais are nice.. but deep down.. no matter how nice it is.. it's still a hyundai..
i know it's a great car... but it's a Hyundai
I know it looks pretty nice ...but so do some new Kias....
yes it's a good deal... but a CPO M5 is a BETTER deal and 100x more bad A$$
you can get a CPO M5 for 45-50k...
you could get a CPO IS-F for 40-45k
roll up in a new Genesis and people will say "nice car.... but it's a hyundai..."
roll up in a CPO M5 and people will drop their jaws....
but i'ts your money... buy what you want...i'm just offering my suggestions...
knowing what I know about cars - there is NO way I could buy a new car unless I felt like flushing money down the toilet.... you can get way more for your m oney going CPO.....

M3?
M5?
you can get CPO's in yoru price point.. I believe.
everytime I hear an M5 with an exhaust it sounds like a carrera GT and I jizz my pants....

I'd take THAT over a frickin Hyundai ANY day of the week!!!!! oh that sounds so wonderful!!!!

If 037 really gets a hyundai.....
I will laugh! lol
Leo honestly the Acura Quality is really good. To go to a hyundai because of more "power" does not justify they 40k$+.
I would definetly go for CPO M5 in a heart beat

I'm not a big fan of BMWs, primary issues is reliability and the fuel economy of the M5 is kinda lame.
I've bought my share of used cars and BMWs were never considered.
I think I'd be relatively happy with the Hyundai for a good number of years without having to worry about fuel pumps and maintenance costs on a BMW.

I would like to stay around the $50k mark, but I can go higher if needed, my option. I however do not want a CPO, sorry, but I have no interest what so ever. My personal preference is new, just something about knowing that no one has ever abused your ride and that everything is in excellent condition. I had my RL for 5 years and only put 33000 miles on it, it would be hard to buy a car that already has that on it, or even more, thanks, but no thanks.

LOL my high fuel pump is covered for 10 years or 120k miles. I dont have anything to worry about that
I mean there are alot of BMWs on the streets. I doubt they can be THAT bad

the problems I've read about this forum is generally not that it's not under warranty, but the fact that you have to lose the time while car is in service.
my friend is leasing a 335i and he changed his fuel pump twice, so far.

quick update: my mom decided not to buy my car so I'm free to sell whenever I want, which is now.
I'm thinking I should buy the new car first before I put the old for sale. That way I don't end up walking. It could use a detail anyway.

Well, you can put your car in the Black Market so that it's at least getting some page views as you are waiting for the R-Spec.

So your getting a v8 genesis 037?
You should go with a equus, a cadillac cts-v, you can get ursef a maserati quatroporte. Who knows if you wait a bit longer the next gen rl acura might man up and bring the engine from the nsx before being cancelled or crippled. Maybe you should be the first member to modify the rl and put two v6 together to make a v12 rl and leave ur wallet and sanity behind.

by the time you finished writing this sentence I already had a chance to list the car twice, first time I used a comma in the mileage and lost everything...

I used the template given to me when creating a new thread. If the template is missing items, how is that the fault of the user?
Modify the template and save your mods a million hours closing threads which cannot even be copied back and have to be re-done completely!

I just got off the phone with my bank and his check is there and will clear tonight. I am meeting up with him and his wife this evening and turning over the keys. I just got done cleaning it out and doing a quick detail and I have to say I will miss my RL, it has been nothing but good to me. I am happy that I sold it privately and not to a dealership who would make more money off it. The people I sold it to are expecting their first child and wanted to buy a safe car for her, without a doubt, they are getting what they want.

I must admit the R-spec does look nice and Hyundai looks to be turning a corner. I haven't had a chance to see a Genisis up close yet and I am curious to see the interior. Guess I need to stop by a dealer
#73
dealers only have the 3.8 at this point, I sat in one over the weekend. My wife thought the back seat in the RL was bigger...but I don't think so.
Black interior is definitely the way to go, the roof felt much cheap compared to the RL...but what u gonna do, gotta cut corners somewhere.

I know that the 5.0 is not available yet, but the 3.8 would be a comparison of sorts. As for cutting corners, at $47,000 I don't think they should have to cut anything, especially in a Hyundai. If I should still be in the market when the 5.0 hits and I feel anything is cheaply done, I would be out.
