You did not lose torque because of a lightweight pulley, no matter the size.
Just installed this on Friday...LOVE LOVE LOVE it, the OP's response to it is dead on...that's exactly how I feel. Lighter on it's feet from a stop, and less drag on engine when you let go of the gas. Downshifting is real treat now, too.

Well, it was time to replace that timing belt, so onto the car went the Ralco OEM Diameter Pulley, too. My RL is now a snarling beast, laying rubber up through third gear...
Okay, so it's slightly more perky on rolling acceleration. That's noticeable.

Bought myself the UR stock pulley on eBay for 119 shipped, I had this pulley on my 08 6mt accord v6 and it was a dramatic difference so I look forward to having it again
Here's the link if anyone's interested

Guys, is it really worth it? How about ride comfort? Genuine one dampens vibrations so that's there for a reason I suppose. Long term vibrations aren't good, are they? On the other hand, I'm doing timing belt this year and considering lightweight one...

I haven't heard any claims of increased vibrations. The stock one is prone to rubber disintegration, so this can even be seen as preventative maintenance.

Do all J35 share the same diameter?

So I installed this yesterday my mechanic did it for me and im around the block for him so I barely got to drive the car.
Today in the morning I didnt really notice much it felt lighter but I figured let the computer or whatever notice the lightness of the pulley.. So going home today I beat the shit out of my RL and off the line .. this car is so much lighter on its feet it takes off much better it redlines quick too, it feels faster although with a blindfold I dont think youd notice it .. on the highway when your behind that slow car that merges onto a highway doing 25mph the car is no question improved in performance.
I cant wait to match this with a Jpipe. Didnt I read on here that the 4G TL AWD Jpipe fits our RL? I need to keep my eye in the black market for one

The 4G SH-AWD TL j-pipe is not a direct fit. They are VERY similar to the point that RV6 modifies some for the RL when they make a batch of the TL ones.

Do you think this shaved in time off the cars 0-60? I have an 05 RL and I'm looking to do this same mod

Awesome picture rockstar143, glad you like it!
A OEM crank pulley weighs around 7-8lbs, while the XL8 crank pulley weighs around a pound, so the weight savings are pretty decent! All pulleys are CNC machined, and 0 gram balanced to ensure the best fit and performance, additionally they carry a full warranty from Unorthodox Racing.
We're currently looking to make some accessory pulleys to match your underdrive/fullsize aluminum crank pulleys! You can see all the info here: https://acurazine.com/forums/exceler...pulley-955059/
PM me with any questions or to get your name on the pre-order sheet for the new pulleys!
