Congrats on the RL. I am sure your Dad will enjoy it, as will you. Ever since I let my Dad borrow mine for a few days, he has been looking for one. I am sure you will be looking for one soon enough also.

I would say the first thing on the list should probably be some proper floor mats. Those things don't even come close to fitting and looks like an unintentional acceleration case just waiting to happen.

Congrats OP. Wish your Dad many years of reliable driving satisfaction. Always liked the rear end look of the 2010 model.

not sure what happened.. but drove into my street today. and the car turned off all of a sudden. I checked and there is some power in the car, lights work and dash lights up. but all other electronics not working, radio navi, etc. It's certified so the battery is new, I checked. Could it be the keyless start system? I don't hear anything cranking when I turn the key knob thing. Definitely gonna call the dealer tomorrow and get it towed back there. This is BS, I am so pissed off right now. What is the point of a 150pt inspection, when a car dies 2 days after you buy it?

Hard to diagnose from this distance, but this sounds a lot like the weird electrical gremlins other RL owners have experienced when their battery got weak. Don't assume they replaced the battery just because the car is a CPO (apologies if they documented that the battery is new). If it's not new, RL's tend to have a rather short battery life, sometimes as little as 2 years. Check that first.

they called today and everything is ok with the car, but they think it's an issue with the aftermarket remote start the previous owner had installed. So the car won't start because of some remote start issue. I have no idea about this. Is this a common issue in Acuras with remote start systems? The dealer said they will speak to a remote start specialist tomorrow and then they will call me or my dad. This is horrible, they should have checked this BEFORE selling me the car.

A "common issue"? Given the number of RL's sold and then equipped with aftermarket remote start systems, you probably now have trouble with approximately 100% of them.

Doesn't have anything to due with Acuras, the problem is the remote start system itself. Pretty common to see some aftermarket alarm/remote start system cause a draw on any vehicle; could be the aftermarket system itself or just bad installation. A draw of about 300ma will make a vehicle die in a day or 2.

If it is causing the draw you can simply go under the dash and disconnect the box and your draw is gone
