Anyone that lives in or near the Metroplex, can you recommend a good independent mechanic for my '07 RL? Ideally, closer to Dallas than Fort Worth.

Interested in an alternative to the dealership.

I was thinking more along the lines of dropping a post in Heavy's link and asking there. There are only 2 RL members I can think of that are in DFW. Your target audience is a lot broader in that thread.

I'm not sure how savvy you are, but at the top right side of the thread you will see a search option... I typed in mechanic, but again it was muddled.

 

You may want to read the first thread of that sub-forum (the sticky) that outlines the "rules" to help facilitate a clean forum.

 

I have used Danny's Import Service in Lewisville for 105K service on my MDX, and will probably use him for service on my wife's RL when the warranty is up. Same day service and prices are very reasonable, ie $800 for plugs, timing and tuneup on an '04 MDX.
