Has anyone had a problem with their hood going up? Since my last service where I got an oil change and powersteering recall, I noticed my hood charges, I don't recall what they call them, are no longer working properly.

The charges have that compression thing where the hood goes up nice and smoothly ... for about 12 inches, the hood does not automatically go up, it just falls back down. I recall I used to open the hood and push up a little and the hood would go right up.. It is like the pressurized charges have lost some of their pressurization..

Anyone else see this happen? I have a 2007 with 15k miles.

Warranty item, at least one of the lifts has leaked, simple install of a new one.

The word I was looking for yesterday was the hydraulic lift seems to be defective.
