Help Shipping Splash Guards from US to Scotland

Hi All,

New Member here however longtime Legend/Acura RL owner living in Scotland, UK.

I'm struggling to find US Acura dealer to internationally ship Splash Guards for my 2007 Model Legend (Acura RL) to Scotland, United Kingdom.

I've shipped/bought Vintage Movie Posters to/from the US without too many problems however the Splash Guards are proving difficult to get shipped.

Can anyone help me out with this?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried Tim at Acura of Peoria, oemacuraparts.com?

Hi oo7spy, Yes, I had a look at their website however it's not showing international shipping on their shipping quote menu? Is it worthwhile me emailing Tim and mentioning your referral from acurazine?

If you pay for the splash guards and shipping, I'd help you out.

Hi Megatron, Thanks your offer which sounds possible although I appreciate it involves a journey to the post office at your end to forward onto me, who knows you might need something done in Scotland one day in return!
Would I find US Dealer to ship to you then Paypal you the payment plus the shipping cost to Scotland?
If that sounds acceptable to you let me know and I can arrange direct with you and I'm happy to add a handling fee/beer money for effort at your end! lol
Thanks for the offer.

Cheers, G

Tim is a member here, s/n OEMAcuraPartsTim, and can definitely give you a straightforward answer. He has helped quite a few members here.

If you still need my help, I'm more than happy to do it for you. Private Message me.

What color and year is your RL? I can find and order it myself and then ship it to you when I get it. Just paypal me all the costs. It looks like the prices for the splash guards are around $120 with shipping and everything. Then add whatever it costs to ship to you.

Acura is now strongly enforcing a policy against shipping international, for ALL dealers. I'm afraid I can't help you directly

It depends on where you ship....I ship internationally quite often, and some countries are really bad, some are great. No one I've sent to has ever had an issue with duty owed, and the USPS customs forms have tracking that works right to the recipient's doorstep in most of the countries I've sent to.

Scotland should be no problem. The only country I had an issue with, and it was minor, was Brazil.

Yes, I've managed to get Ebay US Items shipped without too many issues and I pay whatever UK charges are required. I'm not looking to dodge taxes, just get the item. Likewise I've shipped items to US and beyond from Scotland, takes a bit more effort however I'm happy to help buyers out on the principle that the world should be getting easier to deal with, not harder.
It's funny how easy the illegitimate stuff moves across borders however the folk who are happy to play by the rules get tied up in red tape. lol
I can't imagine what would happen if I sent some Haggis around the world! lol
Bagpipes must be easier!
Thanks all for comments & help. Good to see owners wherever they are trying to help out.
Cheers.
