Headlight Adjustment

Headlight Adjustment
I can't find a thread on this, so I may be the only one that's bothered by the low aiming and tight beams of the low beam headlights. It was also one of the marks aginst the car in the Consumer Reports review too.
I live in the country and drive roads that go up and down all the way home. When you are going down hill you can't see very far ahead due to this "feature". It's truly a safety hazard. I adjust by flipping the brights on and off, but that's annoying.
Has anybody taken it on themselves to adjust these beams? Is there an adjustment available? The dealer has said they can't do it, so I wonder if it's a result of the auto-turning feature.
Anybody know anything?

The service manual has some brief instructions on "headlight adjustment", but I can't determine from the manual which "headlights" are adjusted by turning the vertical adjuster.
Since these headlights are so bright and the risk of blinding oncoming drivers would be the result of improperly changing the headlight settings, my advice would be to leave any aiming to a dealer. I'm not about to change the settings on my RL myself.

Thanks for the replies and the thread link.
The dealer said they were adjusted at the factory (it was a week old when I took it in) and that they shouldn't/couldn't be changed because it was a hazrd to on coming traffic.
I'm going to talk it over with them again when I go in for my oil change. I agree that tweaking something that could provoke other drivers is a risky proposition, if in fact they can be tweaked.

My dealer moved the left light up to be the same as the right side. I never get flashed by oncoming traffic because after-market lights are far worse than factory HID's. As stated on a related thread - My Cadillac HID's were at least twice as good as the RL's. I still consider the RL to be "dangerous" at night. I was taught to "drive within your headlights" and to do that I could never exceed 30mph.
