Hands free battery drain

I'm considering looking for a 2005 - 2007 RL but I'm concerned about the hands free battery drain issue:

Do most owners have the issue, or only a few?
If you have the issue, do you find a good aftermarket hands free solution?

With the vast number of Bluetooth hands free options available, I do not consider this a deal breaker.
