H-003: Q on changing the battery
I'd feel stupid for asking with any other car, but the more I read these forums the more I find our about how advanced this car's electronics are.
I've got to change the battery on my '06 RL Tech. I'm assuming I can do this normally - disconnect, remove, reconnect - and that there's no special rain dance or incantation necessary? I know I'll have to enter the radio/nav codes, but just wanted to check whether there were any other caveats I haven't run across with Search yet.
Thanks!

that is all you need to do...
I changed my battery and i had to put the codes for the radio and nav. thats it... so you shouldn't have an issue...

It is a long shot, but the battery warranty is for four years. If you are still within the service dates, you may be able to get a free battery from the dealer. Check out the warranty paperwork for the battery. IIRC, it is a separate pamphlet.

Thanks Chas, I didn't get any paperwork on the battery -- I got the car last year after it was turned in post-lease at Pohanka. I figured with only 3 possible months to go on the warranty, it wasn't worth the trip back to the dealership. I found a good deal on a ACDelco and switched it out this afternoon.
I actually had no problems at all with the old battery until this weekend - I was cleaning up the leather for maybe 15 minutes with the radio on, engine off, and had to jump it back to life, which I thought was odd. Then starting seemed just a hair slower. A quick search here made me think I was probably at the end of my rope on this battery in any case, so I figured better safe than sorry.

Good move on changing battery. As you probably read from your search, the low battery causes all kinds of issues.
