Got the extended warranty...do I buy my RL?

Just got the extended warranty on my 2005RL....have about 29,000 miles on it and was able to get the extended warranty for about $1570 to cover me thru 113,000 miles. Love my RL.
Even though I have it on lease...with all the slow sales on RL's...does it pay to go to the dealer and see if they "will make me an offer I can't refuse" or wait til the lease is over. I'm putting on about 28,000 miles a year so I'll have to decide whether to pay the miles overage or purchase the car if it is still in good shape. Love my RL.
It doesn't seem like Acura is making that many changes on the 2007RL and most of what they have added would probably not be that important to me. I only paid about $42,000 on the original lease....and will owe about $28,000 when the lease is up. Even if I hit 80,000 miles then...will have over 20,000 miles of coverage. If I turn the car in....will owe about $7000 in overage. Maybe I can cut a deal now where the dealer will cut me a deal....lower price and financing. Anyone heard of this?

There are very few 06's left. Most of them have some miles on them, therefore, making it like a demo car for sale. Since there is no marketing incentive on the 2007 model, I don't think the dealer can give you a similar discount like they do on 2006 models. Having said that, I think you are better off buying the car when the lease is done. Your original lease price is not bad at all. Getting the extended warranty sets you up nicely when you take full possession of the car. Good luck!

Which dealership did you get your warranty from?

I'm not sure on the terms of your lease, but is there a penalty if you get out early?
As far as your question regarding buying it when the lease is up, I would just wait until the time comes. See how the market is. It may make more sense to give the car back, and buy a used '05 for a bit more with less miles. You may even be able to transfer your warranty, but check...
