Gas Cap Warning Light

I go out of town and things fall apart. *LOL* The wife calls me this afternoon and says, "what does it mean when the dash board light comes on and to tighten the gas cap? Is there two? I know I put the cap on tight."
I said, "did you turn it until it clicks?"
"Yes, and I even took it off and did it again to be sure it clicks, but the light is still on."

Ok, what can I tell her? Will the light go out or do I have to do a complete ECU trouble code erasure and start from scratch?

Ahh, the infamous Honda gas cap warning. It's very common with the Ridgelines, and my wife's Civic does the same thing. I always wondered if it would affect our cars too. Apparently the third time is the charm. Take off the cap, and turn until you hear three clicks. The warning may not go away immediately, but after a startup or two it will.
