Front Sunshade Recommendations?
Anybody have a sunshade that they like? I bought some of those big circle pop-open ones and they're not big enough. I have to park at work in the sun, and it's been about 130 degrees in the car in the evenings when I go home. Has anyone found one that works well? Remember where you got it?

You are on a roll today... the TL guys have it figured out:

I use a regular fold up jam.

I purchased a custom fit (per car model) heat shield from AutoGeek.com
It is thickly padded, rigid and partitioned to fold up where I can slip it between the pax seat and pax door. It has a heat repelling foil like finish that does very well blocking and repelling the heat. Further it is cut to fit the exact shape of the windshield.
I believe the manufacturer was Covercraft. It was pricey around $60 but I found it well worth it.

I don't understand why sunshades aren't made for the rear window. I mean, the back window has a good amount of surface area for sun to hit the interior and there's leather seats and speakers and stuff that should be also protected from the sun.

I would think it is too awkward and inconvenient for many people to insert a rear window sun shade making it not worthy of production. Most mobile zombies cannot manage the flip of a directional signal lever, over-shoulder visual check or ability to comprehend the pretty lines in the road.
That said, if I had to leave my car parked in the sun often or especially for a few days, say at an airport parking lot, I would use one. Even with window tint, and rear shades, I would do it. But we are unlike many appliance operators who would take those extra steps for the benefit of our vehicles and personal peace of mind.
I am very fortunate that my RL is garaged at home and the office which, in spite of my touting the quality of interior materials, has contributed to my RL's interior frequently prompting riders to ask 'when did you get a new car?'
$60 for a custom fit heat / sun shield was no worry for me. Nor would a very expensive zombie destroying ray gun.

My circle pop out shade fits. I have to disconnect the visors from their holds, but it fits fine.
5% in the back windows seems to do the job too.

That's a hilarious sunshade there.
That darn fancy-shmancy silverized sunshade doesn't come to fit our windshields, so I don't see how the TL guys have it all figured out for us.

And all this time I thought 007 was a guy.
There is now a UV window film (no tint to very low tint) suggested for front windows. It is technically illegal in my state but who would know?

Yeah, I have it on my car. Still technically "illegal" in socal, but anything is illegal when you have something stuck on your front windshield. I think it's called LLumar Air Blue, 70%. Works so awesome, especially when driving facing the sun. Can't live without it now.

No. That tint will only block like 30% of the sun. The sunshade will block 100% of it, (other than the light that comes through around the edges.

I ended up getting a covercraft sunshade after the good recommendations y'all made, thanks. Apparently they make them to order, so it might take 1-2 weeks to ship. Keep that in mind if you're thinking about getting one. The summer might be over if you wait too long to order. I got the blue, excited to see how it'll look with the celestial silver.
