Fluid Replacemet Service
I have 2008 Acura RL. The dealer is pressuring me that I need to replace all fluids (brake power-streeing transmission differential coolant) as 35k miles maintenance. According to the dealer, this is recommended by Acura. It will cost about $900. I never heard such maintenance from the other cars that I owned before as scheduled maintenance. These fluids are in factory sealed closed systems. It must be checked every oil chance and add on if they get lower by use unless they are dangerously low to indicate there is a leakage in their enclosed circuit. Are they trying to generate unnecessary work to pick my pocket? I do not have maintenance manual handy to verify all fluid replacement as a scheduled maintenance.

At 35k you're due for transmission and differential fluid.
Power steering flush is no use really, brake flush you can hold off until you replace the brakes and it's way too early for coolant flush. Coolant not necessarily need to be replaced till once you do t-belt service

Manual is in the garage under the service manual. The dealer is looking to rip you off. Take your car and never return.
All of those fluids can be done for less than $150 yourself. The only required fluid change along with your oil is the rear differential at your mileage.

According to the owners manual the MID will display 3 for Replace transmission and transfer fluid and 6 for Replace rear differential fluid.
The manual also note if driving in mountainous areas at very low vehicle speeds or trailer towing results in higher transmission and transfer temperatures then should change more frequently than recommended by the Maintenance Minder - have the transmission and transfer fluid changed at 60,000 miles (100,000 km), then every 30,000 miles (48,000 km). For the differential fluid changed at 7,500 miles
(12,000 km), then every 15,000 miles (24,000 km).
