That car was not made to run on corn fuel lol... plus, mpg is proportionally the same mpg/$ ratio... it is just psychological "paying less for gallon of E85"

E85 and regular 87 octane fuel is running about the same price in NM. I did a search and we only have less than 9 E85 stations for an area of around 1 million (Santa Fe down to Belen, Grants to Moriarty). I think I would rather run regular or mid-grade top tier gas instead of converting to E85 in my particular area.

I'm so glad you understood the "Mr" part!
The pump for one and other elastomers in the fuel system such as seals, it can clog injectors, etc. because they aren't made to handle the higher concentration of E85 ethanol.
Why would you want E85? It has 20-28% less energy, though it depends on how high the % of ethanol is in the tank (it varies by state - sometimes up to 30%), and yeah you save some $ per gallon, but the cost per mile can't be any better than regular gasoline. It isn't worth the effort and especially the risk for damage, but if TL Builder wants to go do it, no one here will stand in your way.

I agree with Mj. Ethanol will damage rubber and plastic components specially in an old car in which those components were not designed to run on the E85. Anyway, why would you want to spend thousand or so dollars on conversation on an old car. If you can't afford premium fuel don't buy a car that takes premium fuel.

there are multiple people that have been running E85 for several years now at least on the 3rd gen TL-S and have reported to have no issues with any part of their fuel system going bad.. I specifically reached out to 2 owners through DMs on instagram and they confirmed all they did was replace their injectors with some RDX 410cc injectors and ran a custom tune and have been setup this way for years now with no reported issues.. every time i see a comment about lines and seals going bad, i have to wonder, have you personally run across someone that had this experience on this specific car or are you guys just repeating what some other person has said about seals and lines going bad?

My Accord 8 K24Z3 is powered by E85 since ... 5 years and no problem (same as TSX gen 2)
I have a Honda Legend KB1 (same as Acura Rl 2nd gen) but not converted to E85. Many people of Legend KB1 community in EU have converted their cars to E85 without problem. But here, the cost of E85 is about 0.65€/l and the cost of regular gasoline is about 1.7€/l !

test run e85 on your lawnmower for a couple seasons before doing it on your car. It will be much cheaper to fix afterwards. You’ll see the fuel lines degrade and leak eventually. The carb will tarnish and gum up.
