Door locks go crazy when I'm in park
I have an 05 that starts going nuts when I shift into park. Dealer said it's the switch assembly and wanted......wait for it! $950 to repair. Looked up the part online and it's $32.42. I'm wondering if anybody has done this job. Looks like I have to get under the shift console.

Sounds familiar, I think most of us just turn it off:

Removing the console is fairly easy shouldn't take more than 30 minutes, I have pictures of mine removed, and I have a PDF from Acura for the Music Link that has specific instructions on removing the console, I will post it in a bit.

Didn't think it was hard to take apart the console. I'm notorious for being impatient and breaking things along the way, but this car is changing the way I handle it. $$$$!
As for the locks, it's set to lock with the vehicle speed. Problem solved.

This was happening in my vehicle before I bought it. The problem is the transmission lever position sensor, but the TSB also recommends you replace the entire fuse panel by the drivers footwell for 2005 vehicles, the COST was $700, no idea what it would have been if I would have had to pay. Now I can have it in any mode without problems - glad I caught that one
