Difference between 05 and 06 RL
My dealer Radley Acura now provides 06 RL loaners for Rl owners (about time).
I dropped off my Rl this morning, i had many issues and here is the list:
- Moonroof stopped working for the second time within 4 months, auto feature is disabled and must have my fingers on to perform anything.
- My Home link system opens my garage and my neighbours as well (good for me bad for him)
- Sqeeking brakes are killing me, so dealer is installing new updated pads released by Acura in June.
-Door sensors seem to be worn out, as the door doesn't unlock from first try, it requires couple.
- My TPMS can't read tire pressure nymore, dealer couldn't figure it out, so they'll contact Acura support on Monday.
Anyhow, i'm enjoying my laoner which had 1200 miles, and noticed slight differences from mine.
+ Cruise control display is next to SH-AWD, and the screen doesn't split up anymore as in 05 RLs.
+ Headlights are aimed a bit hight than 05 RLs, i don't know if wheel size play any role, my loaner had 17 and i have 19, but still the loaner headlight aimed much higher.
+ Power outlet which is placed to the right of the shifter doesn't require any push and pull, one push will open it up all the way.
+ Last, i don't know if it me, but the 06 RL feel like it has more torque and passing speed than 05.
Can i get any input from you...

Traded 05 RL for 06 RL
Changes I noticed included
1. No more chime when the Auto headlights are on
2. Seems like the seatbelt is easier to pull out
3. Seatbelt is connected differently at bottom of seat
4. MP3 - Yeah!
5. Trunk is easier to close
6. Woodgrain is not as pronouced in 06 model looks kinda fake
7. Plastic valve stem caps
