1. Has anybody heard anything on a Comptech S/C being made for the Acura RL? It seems that Comptech has a S/C for nearly every Acura.

2. If they did come out w/ one, would you guys buy it? I ask this because I hear some of you guys are complaining about the car not being that fast, and even slower than the TL.

Just curious thats all, I have no affiliation w/ Comptech or anything.

Yes I woudl buy it in a flat second. I had a Comptech SuperCharger in the 2002 TL Type S I traded in for the RL and while I'll take the RL in every comparison, to my old car and a bunch of other cars, including the current TL, one always like to have more power on tap. The Comptech SuperCharger added quite a bit of jump to my 2002 TLS. Of course I had the entire Comptech Package in that car, Headers, exhaust, Icebox, etc. That car made about 350 HP and sprinted to 60 in about 5.3 seconds. I would surely like the RL to get up to 60 in the 5s so I'm hoping that Comptech will come through with a SC for it. Space is tight in the engine compartment since Acura redesigned the fender/hood arrangement so it may be a problem.

Do the new RL's have the J-series motors in them?

If so, then with a little custom work, a comptech s/c off the TL or AV6's should be able to work on the RL.

According to one member at tsx.acurazine.com who spoke with a Comptech rep at a recent event, Comptech has acquired an RL. This likely means that Comptech is preparing to develop performance parts for it, though a supercharger isn't guaranteed, though it shouldn't be ruled out.
