check emission check transmission Side Effects n collateral Damage
Every time my car throws this sign, I noticed that my side mirrors stops tilting down automatically when in reverse. If the car is in reverse and the mirror is already tilted down, it comes back to its initial position when the emission transmission check warning comes on the MID. Has anyone noticed any other components falling victim to this syndrome ?

That's what I'm thinking also. Hope its just a battery. I'm curious as to what other things stops working when these signs comes on, does it affect performance too ?

Anytime you have a charging issue it could affect performance. One, because of the potential loss in spark. Two, because clearly the presence of a "code" will cause the computer to react.
The mirror not returning thing can be fixed by pulling a fuse to reset it.
The emissions/trans deal, you are in a tough spot... sure it could be a battery but it could also be a failing sensor.
I always start with the free/easy stuff... pull the cables and reset the system... make sure the battery is being fully charged (not that autozone said it was "good" shit) and if the errors come back have someone check the sensor.

The telltale sign of bad battery is the steering wheel not telescoping out during startup

My sign was my passenger head light would turn off during a motor crank. My driver's side followed suit soon after.

Acura has admitted themselves that when their tech is barraged with a slew of codes, the first thing to do is a hard reset and restart with a know good voltage source.
If you didn't buy the battery, it is trivial whether you should have to replace it now or not.
