Check Charging System is driving me insane
So a couple weeks ago i took my car to the stealership to get a synth oil change (only reason i go, its $50 from a legit acura dealership) and they let me know my battery power was "extremely low ". It is an OReilly's super start battery. So i went to oreilys my warranty was still good, they gave me a new one. Since then the check charging system would come on and off intermittently and today during lunch it drove me insane, it wouldnt stop turning on and off on and off, the dinging noise is the most annoying part.
Im at 145k, replaced my alternator at 90k. New battery last week. and its still giving me the check charging system, ive searched and saw some ppl suggest checking out the serpentine belt....
is it safe to drive? Ive noticed none of my other electronics are having issues, ac blows fully, radio and nav never cut out like some ppl have experienced.....what gives?

update: on my way home from work after filling gas, put my car in reverse and it was going no where, engine was revving but the car ware inching forward . Put it in drive and no luck it wasn't moving then it shut off. Tried turning it over and I got the clicking tried 5 or 6 times kept clicking. Decided to get a tow, little later I tried turning it on and it eventually powered on but It wasn't moving again./ felt like it would die. For some reason the two guy was able to drive it up to the bed but he was having to floor it to reverse it. I didn't wanna risk driving it and had already paid for the tow at that point
and it was oreillys that installed the battery. It's at a shop now I'll have them diag in the morning

Had my alternator replaced with a remanufactured one a couple days ago... it was whining and the hidden diagnostic menu showed a voltage hovering around 11V at idle. However, since it was replaced, the "Check charging system" warning briefly appears as the RPMs go up over around 4,000, and the voltage drops to 11.5 or so. Then it goes away and gets back to 14.2 volts like all's well. Definitely bringing it in to have it checked, but does it sound like the "new" alternator is defective?" Serpentine belt was replaced about a year ago.

I had the same problem too. I had a autozone alternator in for a long time and it would die on me. I would replace it under the warranty. On the 3rd time i got fed up and taken it to a shop. Turns out it was the crappy autozone quality alternator. He replace with a oem demo alternator. Never had the check battery light again.

I just changed the alternator in my car with 70k miles. The bearing started to scream in the alternator.
Swapping the alternator is fairly straight forward. I had to remove all the plastic trim around the engine bay, splash guard underneath the radiator, and AC condenser fan guard (next to the alternator-removing the fan power clips was PITA) in order to get the old alternator out.
Took 3-4 hours... took my time. +bought a denso manufactured from Amazon.

I'd definitely recommend changing it out yourself after my experience - when I brought the questionably installed alternator back to get checked, my car, immediately after, threw multiple codes for the VSA and ABS system (separate thread here: https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...up-vsa-954168/ ).
Plus, since the charging system only acts up intermittently, the shop is not willing to honor their warranty even with video proof of the charging system malfunction. Going to be an ongoing process here.
