Car dealers improving behavior
Acura rated as one of the top dealers for customer satisfaction.
"Acura dealerships remained at the top of the rankings again this year, followed closely by Saturn, Lexus and Jaguar"

My dealer (Motorcars Acura) has always treated me pretty well, so I keep going back to buy cars and to get service.
Good on Acura! If only they would integrate that into an ad message along with the cars...

Although I complain about pricing on my dealer's routine service, I've never really had a "bad" experience with them. But I have to admit, I did prefer the service I used to get when I had a Lexus. It was always like pulling teeth to get a loaner car from the Acura dealer, but no hassles with the Lexus dealer.

My local dealer Prime Acura(used to be Clair) in Walpole, MA, used to be horrible, and sales is still sales, but Service is slowly improving, but still not what it could/should be. At least they are coming to find me now when my service is done, instead of me going to look for then when I see my car sitting out in the lot.

All of the Clair dealerships must have been sold. My dealer was Clair Acura North, and is now Prime Acura North. I don't know much about the owner, Ira Rosenberg, but he seems to have an empire of dealerships in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire.
Lump, North Hampton Acura morphed into Clair, and now Prime Acura North. I live within 3 miles of there, so it's very convenient.
Sunnyside Acura of Nashua......I almost went there to test drive some RL's, but when I saw the 06' Lakeshore available at Clair....done deal!

This is great news. One of the most common complaints I have heard about Acura dealerships is that the customer service sucks. Since Acura is aspiring to become a Tier One brand, I wonder if they are offering the dealers greater bonuses (or something along the lines of that) for improved survey results as an incentive to improve customer service.
Most people may not agree with me here, but I believe that one of the main reasons why Lexus is where it is at and Acura isn't is because of the dealership experience Lexus offers. Most Acura's offer the same luxury amenities that comparable Lexus models offer so it's not like cars are much different. The pampering that most Lexus dealers offer really can alter the perception a person may have of the brand (in a positive way of course).

Robar..thanks...didn't know that.
One of the things that really pi$$es me off about Honda\Acura customer service is the surveys.....Whenever I pick my car up I get the "anything less thatn an Outstanding rating is a failure" speel from the Tech that hands me my keys.
There was a discussion about the surveys I think in the famous "Tip or no tip" thread some months back.

Lumpulus, just out of curiosity, why were you going to North Hampton Acura when you were living in Vermont? Just getting to Vermont from here is a long hike.
Was that the only game in town as far as Acura dealerships?

I bought two cars rom North Hampton Acura(at the time), my 95 and 98 Integra GSRs.
They gave me the best deal by far for both my trade in and the priceon the car.
There has been an Acura Dealership in South Burlington, VT, called Lewis Acura I think since 1990 or so, but they are a joke, both sales and service wise, and they think since they are the only Acura dealership around in that area, they can be that way.
Gas being allot cheaper back then, and they are only minutes from Pease Airport as well, it wasn't much of a hassle if I could save over $2k on the price. Also at the time I had a friend who has a Cessna 170 and flew me down to Pease to pick it up.
I also shopped Sunnyside in Nashua, but they were worse that Lewis.

Well although my Acura dealer ( Hinshaw's Acura ) is very good in customer service and they take good care of me, I only do warranty work with them. If I want to have something done to my car that is not covered by warranty, then I take my RL to Lynnwood Acura, their prices are by far more fair. They are just as good as Hinshaw's in customer service and all, but they happen to be about an hour drive from my house.

Sales at both is dismal but better in NH. The service at the MA shop is confused but agreeable and their scheduling system needs a big improvement. My only experience at the NH shop was when they did a lot of stuff I didn't ask for and didn't pay for.

The problem with the old Clair Service department in Walpole, MA is they are so damn tiny. I have to make an appt at least a week ahead just for an oil change.
What I usually do is go a mile North to Boch Honda, and drive in anytime (50+Service bays)
One of the advantages of working on the Auto Mile in Norwood, MA.

Gotta mention Park Acura in Akron, OH -- my wife and I are on our fifth/sixth Honda/Acura from the Park dealerships, and we gladly make the drive down from Cleveland. Oustanding sales/service staff -- the service folks especially have gone out of their way for us many times. Park is one of the main reasons that we're Honda/Acura lifers.
have had great experience with pleasanton [ca] acura, including technical bulletin issues such as wipers and squeaky brakes. just as good if not better than bmw of pleasanton (same owner) and much better than fremont [ca] bmw.
I am a Acura service advisor here in Souther California and the factory and dealership gives us $$$ bonuses for having top customer survey scores. the key word there is surveys we live and die by them!!!!!
