Burn-to-disc Navigation

Are the downloadable discs just as good as the purchase ones?

acura-cl.com? FYI, you can edit a post within 15 minutes of submitting it. The button will be next to "quote".

There is at least one thread about burning nav discs. It is completely possible, but the system is VERY sensitive to many different variables including the type of DVD and the program you use to burn it.

It was possible to burn/copy them a few releases ago but I haven't heard of anyone successfully doing so with the last two or three releases.

Search the 3G TL forum. I know they have a long ongoing thread about this.

Years ago I did this but:
I bought 10 dual layer recordable DVD's - they were the incorrect manufacturer so they would not work.
I then bought 10 more and I used about 7 of them getting the file structure, the ISO file, the file size etc just perfect.
I had to borrow my friends burner because mine was a single layer version and the installation and burning process plus the checking in my car turned into a project of challenge and not a time or money saver.
Yes, I proved that it can be done but my time is worth way more than the process took.

I feel you on that sediment. I have other projects that need more attention.
